Ikhana Aircraft Services DHC-6-200HG Endorsed by G-Sky Aviation
IKHANA Aircraft Services announced that G-Sky Aviation has recently completed one year of operation for its RWMI DHC-6-200HG first delivered in 2013.
Bill Houghton, general manager of operations for G-Sky, states: “The aircraft has proven to be a great asset for our operation. The RWMI DHC-6-200HG holds FAA and Transport Canada supplemental type certificates (STCs), allowing operation of the aircraft to 12,500 pounds. The RWMI DHC-6-200HG STC increases the payload capabilities of the basic DHC-6-200 aircraft from 11,579 pounds (approximately 900 pounds, or nearly 8 percent, to 12,500 pounds). Operations are allowed to the full 620 shaft horsepower of its PT6A-27 engines effectively transforming the operation of a DHC-6-200 to match the capabilities of a DHC-6-300 aircraft.

Ikhana Strengthens Twin Otter X2 Sales And Service Network
Ikhana Aircraft Services has appointed Calgary, Alberta, Canada-based John Hopkinson and Associates Ltd. as exclusive aircraft sales agent for its Twin Otter X2.
“We are seeing growing demand for our aircraft as well as the legacy -100 and -200 Series Twin Otters modified to 12,500-lb MTOW under our STC. This appointment will provide our customers with a professional streamlined delivery process,” says Ikhana president and CEO John Zublin. John Hopkinson and Associates Ltd. is Canada’s oldest and largest aircraft brokerage company. It has been in business for more than 40 years and has handled the purchase or sale of more than 4,000 aircraft.
Ikhana has also formed a strategic alliance with Jacksonville, Florida-based Team JAS, aimed at improving service and support for Twin Otter operators worldwide. “Our companies have been working together over the past 25 years . . . and Team JAS is an exceptional fit with our design-build-fly philosophy. Peter Evans, president of Vancouver, British Columbia-based Harbour Air Group, which operates two Ikhana-modified DCH-6-200 Twin Otters, says that the aircraft “have proven to be a useful addition to our fleet. The modification allows for a greater payload than a comparable DHC-6-300 series. We like investments that allow us to carry more revenue-paying passengers—it makes good business sense!”
